With the collection arriving on the 19th of January, we decided there was no better time to share our thoughts and tips on starting the year off right! Discover how our team will be creating a Wonderful World for themselves and take a peek into some of our staff favourites from this nostalgic capsule.
HOW DO YOU INTEND ON CREATING A WONDERFUL WORLD FOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR?
ASH: For me, 2023 is all about focusing on health, creating boundaries and nurturing myself and the loved ones around me.
NESS: Finding more balance. After 8 months of working alongside our newborns in the office we finally have daycare kicking off in the new year. So excited to be able to focus on my work while at work and then focus on my babies while at home. Other things that will make my world wonderful are locking in camping trips with the fam and some girls getaways, I plan to lock these in asap so I’ll have lots to look forward to!
ROSE: My family and I are looking to make the move to a smaller seaside community. I’m excited to be able to walk to the beach! Work wise, we have lots of colourful launches in 2023 and to be frank, I’m excited for all the new beautiful clothes!
DO YOU HAVE ANY DAILY RITUALS THAT HELP YOU STAY GROUNDED AND CONNECTED?
STELLA: Starting my day with a beach walk and a cup of tea is the ultimate way to wake up feeling refreshed and take on whatever comes my way. I also love spending time in the ocean, whether that be surfing, swimming or snorkelling.
JESS: I have a weekend ritual where I must go out into nature.
KARYS: Yoga has been such an important part of my life the past few years and helps me to stay connected and grounded within my body.
AMY: I like to focus on being more present, less screen time - I feel more connected when I'm in the moment, not trying to capture the moment. Practicing gratitude is also important to me- I have a journal that I like to document 3 things that I'm grateful for each day. I'm a big believer in putting positive energy out there....

HOW DO YOU PRACTICE GRATITUDE?
LAURA: Starting the day by thinking of three things that I am grateful for even small things and writing them in a gratitude diary!
NESS: I often just reflect on my life particularly in times when I’m feeling a little off and then think of those much less fortunate and realise how grateful I am for what I have.
ASH: I have a gratitude journal which I fill out weekly, but also have my moments of peace and quietness daily where I am so grateful for the life I live. I also love to do gratitude exercises with my nieces which is really beautiful to see them incorporate into their lives at such a young age.
WHICH PIECE FROM WONDERFUL WORLD ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT?STELLA: The Astrid Mini!! It’s such a stand-out silhouette with endless styling options. I can see myself wearing this one from the beach to the bar and beyond!
KARYS: The Bonnie Dress! My personal style is all about floaty, romantic pieces and this dress just ticks all the boxes for me. I can't decide on my favourite colourway so I guess I'll just have to get both!?
ROSE: The Zephyr jumpsuit, I love the comfy shirred elastic bust, the beautiful print placement, the bold colourway, and the fact it has pockets!

HOW DO YOU EXPRESS YOUR INDIVIDUALITY THROUGH FASHION?
JESS: I get creative by styling with vintage accessories and applying unique makeup looks. It can transform an everyday look into something individual.
ASH: I have always loved to wear colourful printed pieces as I feel that it reflects my vibrant personality. As I get older I am all for comfort too, which is why I love NLB - it’s the best of both worlds.
NESS: I love myself some statement accessories and some little vintage pops! I inherited a bunch of hand me down headscarves which I absolutely love to team with my NL!

HOW DO YOU START YOUR DAY ON A POSITIVE NOTE?
LAURA: I like to start the day with a sunrise walk and coffee, I feel that this is a good way to reset for the day and to start the day on a positive note. I also love having a plan for the day as it helps me focus on what needs to be done throughout the day and week.
KARYS: Slow mornings are my absolute god-send! I start the day grounding myself in my body alternating between yoga & walks on the beach. And I stay connected to myself with my hour of me-time which entails a warm cup of coffee & journaling.
ROSE: I love to clean my house as much as possible before I leave. Sometimes it’s a mission if my 3 kids are wreaking havoc, but it always feels so nice to know I’m going to walk into a clean home that afternoon.
WHAT PRACTICES DO YOU IMPLEMENT TO CALM THE CHAOS IN YOUR LIFE & KEEP YOUR HEART HAPPY?
STELLA: Spending quality time with my partner and friends fills up my cup! I’m such a people person, something as simple as a quick coffee catch up can help take my mind off of things and remind me that I’m surrounded by love and support.
NESS: Calming the chaos, that should be my mantra for the year! Haha! I must connect back to nature on the weekend to feel relaxed and of course have plans with my favourite people. They are my sounding board and the best psychologists money can’t buy!
KARYS: I feel so lucky to have so many incredible people in my life that I can count on during hard times, and they absolutely keep my heart happy! But I'm also a big advocate for therapy when I feel the chaos is becoming too much.
AMY: I like to get out on the road and run with my tunes pumping or swims in the ocean to reset after a stressful day.

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUOTES OR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT THAT YOU LIVE BY?
ASH: The four agreements is my favourite book, and ever since reading it I have really tried to live by these 4 very simple rules.
- Be impeccable with your word.
- Don’t take anything personally.
- Don’t make assumptions.
- Always do your best.
JESS: For all my like minded overthinkers and stressy peeps these are for you:
- While you were overthinking, you missed everything worth feeling.
- Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere. Every-time that chair rocks you suffer one more time than you needed to. Transform this energy into positive productivity.
- Focus on the step itself, not the whole staircase.
ARE THERE ANY BOOKS OR RESOURCES THAT YOU RECOMMEND THAT YOU RECOMMEND TO HELP EDUCATE, INSPIRE OR EMPOWER?
KARYS: The Alchemist is my all time favourite. I've gifted it to so many people throughout the years and it sits on my bedside every night. It's a magical book that will teach you something new each time you pick it up.
LAURA: I LOVE Pinterest. Everything that I need to help me educate and inspire myself I find through Pinterest. I also feel that due to being a more creative type, this is an app that I get so much out of.
ROSE: I love a good audiobook for walks (and cleaning/washing!) Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlights is amazing. I’m currently listening to The Happiest Man on Earth. Highly recommend!

TELL US YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS FOR 2023...
NESS: Success in business, joy with family, memories with friends and curbing the chaos to make room for magic!
ASH: Make more wonderful memories, be healthy, be happy, be open to where life takes me… but most of all have fun everyday!
JESS: This goal has been pending the last 2 years due being impacted by the La Nina Weather event and a social life! 2023 is the year that you will see my 84’ Toyota Coaster - Bungalow completed and on the road!
