MEET THE MUSE: Milani Sobey

As we gear up to launch our first collection for 2021, we wanted you to step behind the scenes and get to know a little bit more about the otherworldly beauty of Milani Sobey, the muse at the forefront of The Valley campaign!

As equally beautiful on the side as she is on the out, Milani floated about on set at the most incredible rustic farmstead nestled atop of Piccadilly Hill, optimising all that we wish for The Valley to make our bazaar babes feel when you wear a piece from this dreamy collection - adventurous, eccentric, infused with life and an innate sense of confidence. It was a set day full of laughs, good vibes and boot scootin’!

Here’s a little insight into Milani & a sneaky snippet of our day on set!

First and foremost, tell us a little bit about you. Who you are, where are you from (now and originally) and what sets your soul on fire?

I’m a 22 year old from Sydney - I was born in the eastern suburbs and have lived around Sydney for my entire life. I have a South African and English heritage. My soul becomes alive when I am surrounded by love, the sun and music.

What star sign are you?

I’m a Libra and I feel like that encompasses everything I try to be. I strive to be fair, compassionate and gentle.

Talk us through your modelling journey so far...

My modelling journey began not too long ago. I have been extremely lucky to find myself represented by the most incredible agency. I have had an amazing start to my career, meeting and working with the most talented creatives! I am so lucky and can’t wait to see where this journey will take me.

What would you say your biggest influence was growing up?

Definitely my mother! She helped me develop into the person that I am today. I take a lot of my personality traits from her. She completely shaped me into who I am and continues to influence my life everyday.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style changes on the daily, but you are most likely to catch me in some baggy jeans and a pair of sneakers. Although, on the odd occasion, I will slip into my girliest dress and my white cowboy boots to mix things up.

You just shot our campaign for our upcoming collection The Valley in Byron Bay, what was your favourite piece from the collection and why?

The Pepper Tunic in Caribbean. Wearing that outfit with my cowboy boots and a big hat, dancing around the most beautiful location was such a dream. Plus the colours were absolutely unreal.

If you could go back to any moment in time what would your ultimate fashion era be?

The 70’s, without a doubt. I am a sucker for a flare pant and an outrageous print!

The resilience of the people in the world we live in. Despite the hardships that we have faced, there is so much love and light everywhere you look. It’s hard not to be inspired.
