Bohemian style through the decades

Our latest collection, Nirvana has inspired our inner bohemian to come out to play. Featuring flowy silhouettes, floating feminine shapes and a bold floral print, we wanted to celebrate some of our favourite boho style icons over the years.

We've heard the term Bohemian date all the way back to the 18th century, during the time of the French Revolution. Bohemian was a term that referred to an exotic sense of style, usually associated with the artists, eccentrics and creatives of the time. These groups would wear flowy garments, oriental-inspired clothing, medieval elements and colourful and bold fabrics, as well as an eclectic mix of accessories.

The Bohemian Movement became a fashion trend in the 1960s. When peace and love erupted with the Hippie Movement, new clothing styles including ethnic dresses, embroidery, clashing prints, fringe and flared silhouettes became increasingly popular.
We'd like to pay homeage to our favourite bohemian muses and trendsetters throughout the decades.
